Recap of June's Goals

I'm happy to say I accomplished most of my June goals-- but some differently then how I expected.

Lets review,

1.  Fill a glass jar with hand-picked flowers

Hubby bought me some flowers for our anniversary on Saturday.   Since moving to San Antonio for the summer (with only items that would fit in our car) I have had to get creative- aka the flowers are in a salsa jar "vase" with a ribbon I brought home from work (shhh... don't tell Nordstroms).
I had the Sister Missionaries over and they said my flowers looked very "vintag-ie" (best compliment ever)

2.  Play tennis game with the Hubby

This one never happend.  We had plans to play two Saturdays ago, but them I laid out by the pool the day before and... see #5.

3. Have an outdoor bbq and make this
I had work while Andrew attended a BBQ at our friends house.  Story of my life as of late- Andrew living our life while I work.  How ever i did make "this" for the hubby and I during the week and it was amazing.  You have to try it.
4. Write a thank you card and send it in the mail
Fathers Day cards count???

5.  Catch some rays by the pool

Okay, major check on this one.  As in, I laid out by the pool for an hour with no sunscreen on (my body hasn't seen the sun for over two years) and completely fried myself.  I then received lectures from co-workers telling me that the "latitude of San Antonio is lower then Salt Lake City and Pittsburgh, so my skin is not use to being so close to the sun and I have to wear sunsceen" Lesson learned team,  lesson learned.

6.  Read this book

The Alchemist is amazing.  I am in love with this book so far!

7.  Find a new hiking trail
Andrew and I went hiking one friday night for our date.  It was so much fun, we even saw a deer 3 feet away from us.

8.  Read these three talk this month (one, two, three)
Lets, just say its been a good month of scripture study with these beauties.

9.  Drive a golf cart around while watching the Hubby play golf
Nope, never happened.  Turns out Andrew goes golfing on Saturday's when i'm working so that probably won't happen for a while.

10.  Eat something spicy

Mexican! yum.

Why create goals?
A goal is a written statement with a deadline . A goal inspires you to do the work. Your goals should excite and even scare you.

Goals are to create what does not already exist.

What goals have you written for the month???
